Long time supporter of Camp Courageous, Virtus Lorenzen, of Anamosa has recently passed away. Virtus and his wife, Mary, have been supporters of camp for over thirty-years. As the camp grew over the years, so did their support.
Jones County has truly lost an incredible supporter of all things good for Jones County with the loss of Virtus. Like other great Jones County residents, such as Howard and Margaret Hall, Beahl and Irene Perrine, Dotty Cummins and so many others, they felt strongly about giving back…and they all happen to be big Hawkeye fans…and Cubs fans too!
