Michelle Pettitt was a trail blazer at Camp Courageous and throughout her life. Her parents, Jim & Geri Pettitt, were huge advocates for those with special needs during the 70s and 80s. They were dear friends of Tait & Dotty Cummins, and other great advocates during that era of change. We remember it, like it was yesterday, Michelle sharing a puppy at camp with her two dear friends. Michelle was an exceptional person, for example, winning gold in downhill skiing at the Nagano, Japan, for the 2005 Special Olympics Winter Games. Michelle will be dearly missed…but what a beautiful path she has blazed for others to follow.
