Camp Courageous will miss John Swanson, Janice Schuch and Wilma Singer

John Swanson, 90, of Manchester recently passed with his memorials going to Camp Courageous.  John’s wife, Una, has played a key role as a committee member of the Manchester Garage Sale.  John would always be there to help in any way he could, from unloading donations to loading the big truck at the end of the season. John & Una dedicated over 20-years to Camp Courageous and the Manchester Garage Sale…Camp Courageous would not be what it is today, if not for this wonderful partnership. Our sincerest sympathy to Una, family, and friends.

Camp’s warmest sympathy goes out to the family of Janice “Jan” M. Schuch, 71, of Central City, Iowa.  For Jan’s 71-years she was as good and caring a person as one could ever meet. Jan and her husband of 51 years, Gary, supported camp in a variety of ways, particularly through camp’s relationship with Ketelsens RV.  Jan and her family requested memorials go to Camp Courageous…the legacy of Jan’s kindness lives on…

Wilma Singer was a long time volunteer cashier at the Manchester Garage Sale.  She was always the happy face greeting one as they came in or left.  Wilma too, dedicated over 20-years to Camp Courageous and the Manchester Garage Sale.  She will be dearly missed….
