Author Jeff Stein Donates Books to be Sold to Benefit Camp Courageous

Camp Courageous has been very fortunate to have a wonderful relationship with Jeff Stein for years. Jeff is an author, historian, and broadcaster. He is Program Director/News Director at News Talk 1540 KXEL, as well as a broadcaster for a variety of other radio stations in Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and Cedar Rapids. He has been a fantastic promoter of Camp Courageous throughout his career in radio.

Jeff recently donated several boxes of his two books, Making Waves: The People and Places of Iowa Broadcasting and One Week in June: The Iowa Floods of 2008, to be sold to benefit Camp Courageous. These books are treasures. Making Waves: The People and Places of Iowa Broadcasting is the only comprehensive history ever published of radio and television’s impact on the state of Iowa, and One Week in June: The Iowa Floods of 2008 was a Barnes & Noble #1 best seller.

These books are now available for purchase in the Camp Store or online at
