It’s the last Sunday in September can only mean one thing – the annual Camp Courageous Pancake Breakfast! With the cooler temperatures, this hot, hearty breakfast of pancakes and sausage is sure to suite any appetite. They will be served TODAY with coffee, milk and juice from 8 a.m. to noon in the camp’s main lodge. Cost is only $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 12 and under.
Pancake Breakfast & Open House
WMT will be broadcasting live from the lodge, keeping listeners entertained with music and the latest Camp Courageous updates. The fruitcakes have been baked, packaged and frozen, with the open house officially marking the kickoff for the 2015 Camp Courageous Fruitcake Sales! They’ll be available in the lodge as well as the camp office. Feel like doing a little shopping? Get the latest camp sweatshirt and t-shirts styles, along with novelty items, in the camp store. The 1966 VW bug will be on the camp’s front lawn to see and to buy raffle tickets.
Plenty of activities can be found on the grounds, as well. Train rides will be available throughout the day with a live re-enactment train robbery by the Red Cedar Regulators at 9, 9:45, 10:45 and 11:45 am. The latest extension of the camp train will showcase the beauty of Lake Todd and construction progress of the Durgin Pavilion. In addition, ample seating is available for the Dixie-Note Plus Band, performing in the Sill Barn at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 am. Tours will be given throughout the day, and kids of all ages will be delighted with the Super Zip and Bouncy House.
