Train Project

Camp Courageous has a 16-gauge train that runs through the woods surrounding the camp. Since it was installed, it has thrills thousands of campers and visitors every year.

Engineering students from Iowa State assisted with the design of an handicapped accessible train car that allows for flexible seating. Any camper is now able to ride the camp’s train using this car.

The train is being leveled for better use year-round and will be expanded as funding allows. You can be part of this project by donating time, materials, and more. Donors making a $1,000 or more contribution will have their name put on a plaque in the depot.
