The John and Dorothy Sill Barn & Farmyard Area

One of the newest facilities at Camp Courageous is the Sill Barn. This addition to camp was made possibly by John and Dorothy Sill and their family. Duane Sill has played a central role in the design and construction of this amazing structure.

There are basically two components to the Sill Barn. The upstairs is an area for barn dances and other camper activities. It is outstandingly beautiful. From the huge oak timbers, to the beautiful oak floors, everything is authentic. Most of the campers who attend Camp Courageous have never been around a farm or farm animals. At the Sill Barn and Farm Yard, they experience the thrill of bottle feeding the new born goats, calves and other animals. The campers understand why people say P.U. when they smell a pig. And they experience the thrill of riding the camp’s horse.
