Here are some details on upcoming events at Camp Courageous:
MAY 2008
- May 2 - Friday - Trivia Night - 6:30 PM
Camp Courageous of Iowa is holding it’s inaugural Trivia Night fundraiser at 6:30pm on Friday, May 2nd in the camp’s lodge. It will be a night of fun where teams answer ten rounds of ten questions, each round being a different category. The table with the most points at the end of the night wins first prize. There will be prizes for first, second, and third place, plus many great door prizes including a night’s stay at the Marriott Hotel in Cedar Rapids. There will be other fun games to play throughout the evening in between rounds and lots of fun to be had for a great cause. The cost is $10 per person and each table can have between five and eight players, so get a group of friends together and test your skills! If you would like to reserve a table or find out more, please contact Annie Chapman at camp on 319-465-5916 or via email at achapman@campcourageous.org. Please call soon, as there are only 25 tables available. Some drinks and snacks will be provided, however, you can bring your own. Please note that Camp Courageous is an alcohol and tobacco free environment.
- May 18 - Sunday - Cruisin' for Camp Courageous- 10 AM to 4 PM
Over 200 classic and modern cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more will cover the grounds at Camp Courageous for this benefit car show.
JUNE 2008
- June 5 - Thurs. - Summer Splash Dance for Campers- 6:30-8:30 PM
Campers can enjoy a wonderful summer dance in the camp's lodge. This free event includes great music and refreshments. Please RSVP with Stephen at stephen@campcourageous.org
- June 5- Saturday - J&P Cycles Poker Run - 10 AM to 3 PM
All proceeds from this scenic ride through Eastern Iowa go to Camp Courageous. Get more information at www.jpcycles.com.

- Aug. 8&9 - Pineapple Sales
Fresh pineapples will be available for you to purchase at many area Hy-Vee Stores.
- Aug. 16 - Pineapple Gala
The Annual Pineapple Gala at the Crowne Plaza in Cedar Rapids. A great dinner along wtih a silent and live auction. Hundreds of times to bid on from $5 and up.
SEPTEMBER 2008
- Sept. 10 - Wed. - Back-To-School Festival - 10 AM-2 PM
Campers and students from area special education classes are invited to camp for a day filled with activities, games, and prizes. This free event includes a lunch for everyone! Please RSVP with Jeanne at jeanne@campcourageous.org
- Sept. 27 - Pancake Breakfast and Open House - 7 AM to 1 PM
A hot breakfast that includes pancakes, sausage, and more awaits you at Camp Courageous! After you breakfest you can enjoy tours of the camp grounds and shop in the camp store. Everyone is invited!!

- October 28 - Tues. - Camper Halloween Dance - 6:30-8:30 PM

- Nov. 26 - Cent-A-Gallon Day for Camp Courageous
Participating Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Stores will donate $0.01 of each gallon sold on this day to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
